gaza_crossingIsraeli authorities opened Tuesday Karem Abu Salem crossing partially to allow the entry of tens of vans loaded with aids and construction materials for international institutions projects  in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Raed Fatouh, Palestinian crossings official, said “occupation will allow the entry of 180-190 vans loaded with aids and goods for agricultural, commercial, and transportation sectors via Karem Abu Salem crossing.”

He added that there are 13 vans carrying cement and iron to be used  for UNRWA and USAID projects .

Two vans loaded with flowers  will be exported to Europe, while limited quantities of cooking oil will be pumped .

Pointing out that Al-Montar crossing known as Karni will remain closed.

Israeli authorities announced earlier the closure of Al-Montar crossing permanently and completely that refutes their claims of easing the blockade over Gaza Strip.

Residents of Gaza strip depend on Al-Montar crossing as a major entry point for goods including wheat, feed, and gravel .
